When Mailchimp announced its brand new suite of pop-up forms for collecting email sign-ups, I had a little play around with them.
And they weren’t easy to build, so I didn’t go all out recommending them.
Fast-forward six months, and I can now wholeheartedly recommend them 🎉
I recently built one for my own website.
I chose the easiest template, and this is what it looks like:
What you can do with Mailchimp pop-up forms
- It can fill the page or take up just a corner of it
- You can show it only to new visitors
- You can choose which pages it appears on
- You can create different forms for different pages
- You can trigger it after a set time, when someone is about to leave, or after a period of inactivity
How pop-up forms can help grow your email list
Mailchimp says its users have seen an average 50.8% increase in list growth rate after adding a pop-up to their website.
Ways to use a pop-up form on your website
- Promote your newsletter on a popular page (usually your homepage)
- Gather sign-ups directly from your event page, saving visitors that extra click
- Tag people per pop-up entry point and start a relevant automation flow
Want one on your website but don’t fancy building it yourself? Send me a message, and I can help.
